Mastering Change – Virtual Change Management Programme Case Study

Brief and Objectives:

AccessHolding partnered with CLP to develop a customised virtual change leadership training solution aimed at addressing varying leadership and learning maturity levels among 10 middle managers enrolled in their internal training programme, AccessCampus. The objectives included tailoring virtual training, addressing diverse leadership maturity levels, moving away from traditional webinar formats, emphasising real-life interaction and application, and fostering a dynamic virtual learning environment.

Challenges:

The primary challenge was the diverse maturity levels among participants, influenced by both country-specific factors and the organisational structure of local banks. CLP needed to design a programme that would be sensitive and adaptable to these differences. Additionally, it was crucial to consider the potential difficulty some individuals might face in maintaining focus during training within their office environment.

Solution:

Virtual Change Management Programme: The Virtual Change Management programme integrated synchronous and asynchronous methods to offer a comprehensive and flexible educational experience. Key components included an online change management simulation, real-life observation and case collection, action workshops, and a comprehensive e-guide.

Approach:

CLP proposed a departure from the traditional webinar format towards a more interactive and engaging learning style, incorporating real-life scenarios, case studies, and practical applications. Adaptive learning pathways were designed to cater to individual needs, and a dynamic virtual learning environment was implemented to keep participants engaged. Peer coaching was introduced to foster collaboration and build synergies among participants.

Outcomes and Impact:

The programme successfully addressed the challenges posed by varying levels of leadership maturity, resulting in increased engagement, a deeper understanding of change management principles, and improved readiness to apply these principles in participants’ roles. Positive feedback from participants highlighted the programme’s effectiveness in enhancing leadership skills and organisational resilience.
