Peter Behrendt founded the Freiburg Institute. He graduated in work and organizational psychology and is currently conducting his PhD research at the Freiburg Institute on success factors of leadership, coaching and innovation. He holds certificates in coaching, mediation and organizational development. He has several years of experience as organizational consultant and as Director of Human Resources. In 2006, Peter Behrendt was awarded the Muwit-Award for the concept of an outstanding HR program, followed by two Great-Place-to-Work-Awards in 2010 and 2011 for his work at Stryker Navigation in Freiburg. In 2012 as well as in 2014 his innovative contributions to the academic field of coaching were nominated as one of the three best coaching concepts and received the German Coaching Award.
