Face-to-face Leadership Training Again!

It has been a long time coming, but we had our first on-site, face-to-face Leadership training session last week. There was a palpable sense of excitement in the air and everyone in the room had a greater sense of appreciation of what it meant to be in a face-to-face training environment.

At CLP, over the last 18 months, we have been offering predominantly remote-first learning and development programmes which have included a wide range of virtual modules and eLearning courses.

Regardless of the constraints of the pandemic, we made sure these courses were all customised to suit the exact requirements of each individual client to make them fit for purpose and adaptable to their respective learning environment.

But as the world of work has slowly begun to open back up and companies have been comfortable bringing their teams face to face again, we have listened to the feedback from our virtual training courses and identified peoples’ need and desire to include onsite training in their learning interventions.

The pandemic has definitely meant we have adapted our business model as we have been listening and reacting to what leadership development needs to offer in a post-Covid world.

The current changes in the business landscape, accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic, have seen a clear trend away from sophisticated leadership development programmes of interconnected modules over the course of months, to a more modular approach of shorter and predesigned trainings.

Over the last year, this has made more sense than ever, since most leadership development initiatives have been run virtually and, by nature, have to be limited in time. Who wants to sit in front of a screen for hours on end?

Additionally, HRD professionals are becoming more specialised experts in their field. In short: HRD knows what it wants and can better judge what it buys in. There is little risk in purchasing off-the-shelf leadership trainings but greater risk in buying a leadership development programme that must be developed from scratch.

Comprehensive and bespoke leadership development programmes are less in demand while single trainings and modules are more and more popular. In other words, the learning and leadership development industry has become more productised over the last 18 months.

Thanks to the pandemic, we feel our virtual offering is more robust than ever and we have found that a mix of face-to-face and virtual training courses can go hand-in-hand, depending on what our client requires.

CLP´s mission continues to focus on creating and offering what leaders need next, whether this is virtually or in person.

Two of our most popular face-to-face approaches continue to be our Onsite Leadership Development Solutions, which include innovative ways of offering leaders bespoke solutions for individual and collective growth, as well as our Onsite Change Leadership Solutions, which offer a number of different programmes that equip leaders to lead through change and transformation in today´s hybrid world.

For details of these courses or any of our face-to-face or virtual programmes, please contact the CLP team.
