Piet (born 1950) has many years of experience as a policy -, market researcher and manager in public sector organizations which appealed to his strong analytical and social qualities.
After becoming a self employed organizational researcher, consultant and trainer he works for both private and public sector organizations in organizational and cultural change projects. Piet has worked for the European commission, FIAT Auto, Deutsche Bahn, the Dutch Local Government Association (VNG), The German Association of Local Authorities (KGSt), VATech and various local and regional authorities in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and Italy. Recent projects on administrative reform in Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan appealed to his interest in other national and organizational cultures. Piet is a management and leadership trainer and teaches organizational management courses for the University of Maastricht Business School (UMBS) in the Netherlands. He also teaches internal organizational auditing for the Dutch Training Institute for Public management and is an auditor into the efficiency of local authorities. Piet (a native Dutchman) studied music (classical guitar), pedagogy (bachelor degree) and social sciences (master degree). He is fluent in Dutch, English, German and Italian. He also has a basic knowledge of French.
