Amel Karboul

Amel Karboul has spent eight years leading engagements that require a strong understanding of the interplay of change, leadership and culture in global DAX and Fortune 500 businesses as well as family enterprises and Non-for Profit organizations.

Amel Karboul is founder and managing partner of Change, Leadership & Partners. She is an experienced organization development consultant and executive coach,focusing on systemic approaches to learning and change leadership at the organizational, team and individual level. Amel has been in the field of organization consulting, organization development, leadership training, development, and coaching for the last 13 years. Her current work in organizations focuses on effectively linking people and processes to achievedesired organizational outcomes. Amel’s areas of expertise include aligning and developing leadership, coaching of global leaders, managing large-scale change, implementing innovative strategy, building executive leadership teams, enabling communities of practice and global networks.

Amel facilitates groups of managers leading major change initiatives. She has helped teams of managers at Deutsche Telekom, Daimler, Chrysler, Dupont, Lufthansa, SAP, Villeroy & Boch and Doctors without Borders solve problems related to issues such as restructuring, implementing new strategies, reacting to global challenges etc. She works with global organizations and has conducted workshops in West and Eastern Europe, Brazil, India, Middle East, Australia, USA, South and North Africa.

As a coach, Amel provides assessment, development planning, and ongoing support for behavioral change.  In addition, Amel has conducted coaching skills programs for executives and has coached HR professionals to be coaches. She is certified in the use of several assessment tools including 360-degree feedback.For middle and senior level managers, Amel has designed, developed and delivered programs for organizations such as Bosch, Lufthansa Cargo, Wyeth, SAP, Plansee, OMV, KWS, Microsoft, DuPont and World Food Program. She also has developed and conducted a pro bono leadership program to support women leaders in Africa.

Amel’s extensive corporate and consulting experience includes being a project leader for innovation management and supplier relationship for the Mercedes-Benz Brand in South Africa and Germany and executive for knowledge transfer and leadership development at the DaimlerChrysler Corporate University in USA, Singapore and Germany from 1996 to 2001. She later became a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in Germany and prior to assuming her current position,she was managing partner consulting group Neuwaldegg (Vienna, Austria) and research group Neuwaldegg – a leading change management and leadership development provider.

Amel, Tunisian born and bred, Europe and U.S.-educated, is truly global. Her fascination with global culture and its impact on leadership, organizational dynamics, and management, would seem an obvious choice for someone who grew up in a household that spoke five languages. Amel conducts programs in Arabic, French, English and German. She also has a good knowledge of Spanish and Greek.

Amel holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. She has done postgraduate education in economics in the USA. She has accomplished an intensive systemic coaching certification program (41 days within 2 years) in Germany as well as consulting training in Sweden and Austria. Amel is CCL (Center for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, USA) certified 360 degree Coach and has accomplished the FST (Fundamentals of Structural Thinking) program with Robert Fritz, Boston USA. She is managing partner of a research group investigating on the challenges and opportunities around global leadership development. Amel is also a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network (US and UK), visiting faculty at ZFU (Switzerland), member of the strategic management society (SMS) and the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Amel is married and mother of two wonderful daughters Shedlia and Leyla.
